APABA-PA 2021 Attorney of the Year – Su Ming Yeh
APABA-PA is thrilled to announce this year’s APABA-PA Attorney of the Year: Su Ming Yeh. As a passionate advocate and proven leader, Su Ming exemplifies the best of our community. Su Ming is currently the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project, working to safeguard the rights of one of the most vulnerable communities in society through legal representation and advocacy. A trailblazer, Su Ming is the first and only Asian American who has served as an executive director of an organization within the Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network.
Her leadership within the legal community is well-known, serving as the APABA-PA President in 2015, an Adjunct Professor at Penn Law School, a board member of the Defender Association, and a former co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Civil Rights Committee and Public Interest Section.
Su Ming’s dedication to the larger APA community is unquestionable. Besides being a long-standing leader within APABA-PA, she has been the Executive Director of the Asian Professional Extension, Inc., a mentoring organization for Asian-American youth in New York City; and a community organizer with the Coalition for Asian-American Children and Families.
Su Ming earned her law degree from Penn Law School cum laude and clerked for the Hon. Gerard E. Lynch of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Please join us in honoring Su Ming at the APABA-PA Annual Banquet on October 25, 2021.
