2025 Attorney of the Year
Jennifer Lin serves as the Chief of Staff for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, as a member of District Attorney Krasner’s Executive Team. In this role, she oversees the Office’s HR, Finance, and IT Departments, as well as managing recruitment, building operations, and Continuing Legal Education on behalf of the DAO. Jennifer has worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the Philadelphia DA’s Office for the last twenty years. Prior to her role as Chief of Staff, she served as an appellate prosecutor in the Law Division, and later as the Supervisor of the Civil Litigation Unit.
In addition to her work as a prosecutor, Jennifer has dedicated her time to serving the Asian American and Pacific Islander (“AAPI”) community. In 2006, she co-founded the Office’s Asian Outreach Program, serving as the primary liaison to AAPI victims, witnesses and community stakeholders in serious and complex cases. In this role, Jennifer has facilitated communication with Mandarin-speaking victims in hundreds of cases. She has organized and participated in a number of public-safety events and townhall meetings with the District Attorney and stakeholders from the AAPI community to address specific cases and concerns regarding the criminal justice system.
Jennifer’s leadership and history of engagement with the AAPI community also stems from her active participation in the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Pennsylvania, having served as President of the organization in 2012, and later as the chair of the Bylaws, Strategic Planning, and Statewide Outreach Committees. Jennifer was recognized by the Legal Intelligencer as a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” in 2009, and was awarded the Lynne Abraham Prosecutor Award by the Philadelphia Coalition for Victim Advocacy in 2010.
